This article on PoliticalBetting.com looks at the attitude supporters of different parties have on the question of who is more to blame for the violence that has been recently occurring in Gaza.
Firstly, it must be noted that 19% of the sample said they didn't know who was to blame and 39% blamed both equally. Blaming both equally was the most popular view in the sample. The largest minority of Labour, Tory and Lib-Dem supporters all said that both sides were to blame equally. 39% of Conservative supporters said this, 41% of Labour supporters and 45% of Lib-Dems.
However, Conservative supporters were more likely to blame Hamas than other parties' supporters. 34% blamed Hamas for the violence and 14% blamed Israel. In contrast, 26% of Lib-Dem supporters blamed Israel and 17% blamed Hamas. Labour supporters seemed the most evenly divided - 23% blamed Israel and 22% blamed Hamas.
It thus does appear that - among the minority of people who have strong views blaming one side or the other - there is a correllation with partisan voting preferences.
