Gandhi, the Daily Kos, and Libertarians

At Delawareliberal (the really old version of the site) they used to have up the following quotation from Gandhi:br /br /blockquotespan style="font-weight:bold;"First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win. /span/blockquotebr /br /Which is intriguing in light of the fact that some diarists at The Daily Kos are now spending almost as much time discussing [debunking, from their perspective] Libertarianism and the idea of a serious Libertarian third party as they spend trashing social conservatism and Sarah Palin: a href="http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/7/11/192614/543"here/a, a href="http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2009/7/12/02040/6618"here/a, and a href="http://www.dailykos.com/story/2009/7/13/752948/-The-Citizens-Dilemma-and-the-Libertarian-Ideal"here/a.br /br /As a rough measure it is becoming more and more clear that libertarian ideas--unfettered by the overtly moralistic and often theocratic overtones of the extreme social conservatives--are seen by progressives and liberals to be their major intellectual and political opposition.br /br /Which would be a lot of fun if Libertarians could ever find a way to organize themselves.br /br /Ah, well....div class="blogger-post-footer"img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/7893272060787897238-9161949289533304377?l=delawarelibertarian.blogspot.com'//div
