China gives a $950m loan to Zimbabwe

The a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8126555.stm" BBC reports /a that the Chinese government has agreed to lend $950m to Zimbabwe. Morgan Tsvangarai went to the West to ask for loans and assistance for the new, 'national unity' government in Zimbabwe. This was not forthcoming. However, it has been forthcoming from China. This does suggest that China is trying to boost its role in Zimbabwe's economy.div class="blogger-post-footer"img width='1' height='1' src='https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/tracker/38622711-7570644859371569947?l=vinospoliticalblog.blogspot.com'//div
