Barack Obama = Neo-con

I never expected Obama to be part of any radical shift in relations with Israel. I'm questioning why, however, Obama appointed Rahm Emanuel to chief of staff. Was he throwing a bone to the Israeli lobby? Rahm Emanuel is the son of an militant Zionist who was a part the Irgun.

I'm somewhat scared we're going to be pulled into another middle-eastern conflict while our economy is in the toilet.

Here's our buddy Obama talking to the Israeli lobby:

The above sounds exactly like what a neo-con would say.

There is speculation on internet forums that a strike on Iran will be the "surprise" Joe Biden hinted at that will confront Obama. Time will tell, but the speculation on the internet is that Obama will pursue the same foreign policy objectives of Bush.

Essentially, Obama will leverage his personality-cult to round up support for the same foreign-policy that Bush pursued. Obama is beholden to the same political interests. Everyone he is appointing seems to be suggestive of the idea that foreign interventionism will only increase under Obama.

We would have been wise to heed the wisdom of Ron Paul on Barack Obama.
