The statisticians more or less have been right on most of the states. I'm gonna turn off the TV and just accept that our fate as a country is a horrible mobocracy. We will be ruled by the unwashed, uneducated masses that believe government is the origin of wealth.
Forgive my sense of sadness, but I have a forecast for the next 20 years:
[Edit: this is an extreme projection of the outcome of the nanny-state, and has no implications or meanings [that could be offensive] beyond just the negative outcomes of the nanny-state]
Economically: Our dollar will head to the abyss. Blacks will blame whites, whites will blame blacks. "Jew greed" (see previous post title "Capitalism and The Jews") will become the foundation for economic theory.
Educationally: American Idol, Gossip Girls, "24", and other tv/mainstream-media shows will become the subjects of college level courses as Americans become increasingly frustrated at their inability to compete academically not only against humans from other nations, but also against various primates from publicly managed, deteriorating zoos across the US. As a result of the growth of the Department of Education, chimpanzees and bonobos will successfully rout Americans and come to dominate the quantitative majors of Ivy League schools. Affirmative action programs will be introduced so that humans can compete with monkeys.
The rich will be taxed so the poor can learn about acceptance of polygamy and beastiality in kindergarden pre-school sex-ed classes. School will not consist of things like math or science, but of things like art-history and alternative-lifestyles. Everyone will be in "gifted programs", despite wearing government-mandated diapers to contain feces.
Socially: Abortion-aid and school lunch programs (built on top of subsidy programs) will be given to everyone. Home-schooling will be banned, and we will be forced to be vaccinated by government-managed health-care to pad the profits of drug companies. The government will take over the internet, and the internet will become the programmed, unintelligent medium that broadcast television is today.
American language will deteriorate into a series of grunts and gestures involving genitals.

The next step? Graduate. Then, take all my wealth, pay whatever I need to in order to get the IRS off my back, and go live in some obscure location where, if need be, I can default to subsistence farming and fishing.
I pronounce this country dead. Unless Obama is our fiscal conservative knight in disguise, America is finished. Here's a hint: he isn't. The nanny-state is too much to bear, and we know where it's headed -- even if the above sounds ridiculous.
