Nobody actually works on NSF grants because they care about the research. They work there because they can dick around with little to no oversight. It's the ultimate in getting paid for nearly nothing. I've seen millions wasted in these dumb projects. If people are frequenting porn sites, at least there's some stimulus going on somewhere in this totalitarian country.
