Commentators on the Mail's messageboard find it difficult to accept the fact that Jorg Haider was bisexual

'Anton Vowl' from Enemies of Reason spends time reading the Daily Mail messageboard and pointing out (to those of us who like to avoid venturing into such a cesspool) the rather bizarre comments that some characters leave on it - revealing their prejudice and irrationality. The fact that Haider was having a relationship with one of his male colleagues seems to have lead some of his sympathisers on the Mail messageboard to go into denial . They don't seem to be able to accept that one of their heroes was bisexual. They also accuse this of being a 'smear' by the Liberal Elite (TM). This is, of course, rather strange since - mentioning that someone might be bisexual when there is ample evidence of this - is only a smear if the person hearing that statement is themselves biased against homosexuals. Of course, the readers of the Mail messageboard do tend to be biased in that way - and so they are faced with cognitive dissonance when they come up against the facts about Haider.
