The Prevaricating William Ayers (revised)

The NY Times has run an op-ed by William Ayers. Since Obama is safely elected (God helps us), Ayers is free to spin. The gag rule is off. I have never seen more prevarication and distortion in a short piece--and that's saying a lot. The Weatherman are recast as mere protesters who used "extreme vandalism"--not terrorism, of course. They used "small bombs" not aimed at people. Well, well, just firecrackers, apparently. Small bombs are not so bad; and they could be controlled not to hurt anyone. And, of course, it is always noble to oppose the Vietnam War. This is not so, however, if one supported the other side, as did Ayers and his wife. They are communists, after all. That war was largely won by America, but the peace was not kept as the US withdrew prematurely. Pol Pot and the Killings Fields were the result. If anyone has studied this man, all of his reinventions (better known as lies) should strike one as absurd.

Ayers downplays his association with Obama, but O's political career began in his living room. Ayers wife, another terrorist, palled around with O's wife. O endorsed one of Ayer's books. They administered millions of dollars together as part of the Annenberg Challenge. One could go on. I mentioned all this running up to the election disaster. Truth take the hindmost, says The New York Times.
